COSPAR best paper award to Jeff

Congratulations to my former PhD student Tae Ha "Jeff" Park who just won the 2024 Outstanding Paper Award for Young Scientists for the paper:

Park, T. H., D’Amico, S.;
Robust Multi-Task Learning and Online Refinement for Spacecraft Pose Estimation across Domain Gap;
Advances in Space Research, Vol. 73, No. 11, pp. 5726-5740 (2024). DOI: 10.1016/j.asr.2023.03.036

In this pioneering work, Jeff shows how to train a CNN for spacecraft pose estimation in a way that is robust to the sim2real gap and even more importantly how to keep improving its performance during proximity operations (target domain) without access to true pose labels with minimal computational efforts.

This adds to the long series of best paper awards by researchers of the Stanford's Space Rendezvous Laboratory. I feel so lucky to be able to advice them!
