More flight results (and videos) from StarFOX

Here is a video produced by PostDoc Justin Kruger at the Stanford Space Rendezvous Laboratory showing candidate Resident Space Objects (RSOs) observed in the flight images of Starling-3 on March 24th 2024.

It goes through 300 star-tracker images and pauses for ~3 seconds every time an RSO is identified in the frame (which is not a companion of the Starling swarm of 4 spacecraft). For each RSO, it provides information such as name, country, operator, distance, relative velocity, and propagation time from the latest available Two Line Elements (TLEs).

Here we are demonstrating the capability of a CubeSat's star-tracker to act as a Space Domain Awareness (SDA) sensor through autonomous identification and tracking algorithms. StarFOX+ will demonstrate these capabilities in orbit including locking and tracking of RSOs simultaneously by multiple Starling satellites for quick triangulation.

A proliferated SDA revolution awaits!
