Prof. D'Amico has been awarded the 2019 Leonardo 500 Award by the Leonardo da Vinci Society and the Italian Scientists and Scholars of North America Foundation (ISSNAF). This award is established on the 500th anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci’s death to recognize Italian or Italian American early career researchers working in the San Francisco Bay Area. The award has been presented to Prof. D'Amico during a Gala Dinner in San Francisco on the 5th of April 2019 in recognition of outstanding research achievements in the area of Engineering.
