Zahra Ahmed
Zahra Ahmed is a Ph.D. student in the Space Rendezvous Lab and a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow (NSF GRFP). Her current research focuses on using supervised machine learning for exoplanet detection and characterization from starshade images. More broadly, Zahra's research interests include machine learning, computer vision, and high contrast astronomy. Zahra received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin (2018) and a M.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University (2023). Prior to attending Stanford, Zahra spent three years at Boeing as a Propulsion Engineer in Seattle, WA.
