News: CAESAR, new research center for Space X AI

We are finally out of stealth mode! Together with Marco Pavone we have founded the Center of AEroSpace Autonomy Research (CAESAR) at Stanford. CAESAR is funded by #Industry and pursue research at the intersection of AI/ML and #spacecraft Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) to endow space vehicles with autonomous reasoning capabilities.

After the #pioneering work of our labs (SLAB and ASL) in the last few years, this is the beginning of a new Era for our research. The first joint paper born under CAESAR is a blast and was presented yesterday at the IEEE AeroConf in Big Sky.

Please check Stanford’s coverage (link) and contact us if you are interested in CAESAR and its capabilities.
